Building an innovative hybrid network to bridge Cleveland’s digital divide.
Cleveland has long ranked among the nation’s least-connected cities, but DigitalC is changing that with an innovative hybrid network built in partnership with Crown Castle. By combining fiber and next-generation wireless towers, DigitalC has created a citywide solution that delivers fast, affordable, and reliable high-speed internet to underserved neighborhoods—without the delays and costs of traditional broadband. Since launching in January 2024, more than 5,000 Cleveland households have already been connected, with a goal of reaching 23,500 by 2028. Backed by local foundations, the State of Ohio, and community partners, DigitalC’s work is transforming access to online education, remote jobs, and economic opportunity—proving that when a city invests in digital equity, everyone benefits.
