DigitalC Enhances STEM Education with ukits
DigitalC is proud to announce new robotic programming classes using UBTECH uKIT.
These sophisticated robotic kits significantly enhance the STEM and digital skills our Click team can offer to Cleveland's youth. This exciting development is made possible through a partnership with Mary B. Martin School in Cleveland.
Enhanced Learning with Robotics
Robotics is not new to DigitalC. With the invaluable support of Cleveland State University, we have been using mBots, which offer great capabilities, ease of transport, and flexibility for lessons with learners of all ages. Now, with the addition of uKITs, we are further enhancing the learning experience. The uKITs provide different features and functionalities, giving students a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of robotics and programming. By combining the use of mBots and uKITs, DigitalC equips students with a broader range of tools to explore and excel in STEM education.
Creating Access to Technology
DigitalC's mission is to create equitable access to technology and education. By incorporating uKIT into our curriculum, we ensure that students not only learn the basics of robotics but also gain hands-on experience with more advanced technology. This move aligns with our commitment to bridging the digital divide - for good - and fostering a generation of tech-savvy youth in Cleveland.
Classes Held at Fatima Family Center, Locations Expanding
These innovative classes are held at the Fatima Center, a community hub known for its dedication to educational and social services. Our partnership with the Fatima Family Center allows us to reach a broader audience, ensuring that more young minds benefit from these cutting-edge educational opportunities. Additionally, we are going to host sessions at Malachi Center, Fairfax Recreation Center, and Friendly Inn Settlement.
Get Involved: Set Up a uKIT Class
DigitalC is eager to extend this opportunity. If you want to set up a uKIT class at your youth organization or community center, please get in touch with us. This initiative is a fantastic way to bring advanced STEM education to your community, inspiring and equipping the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.
Superior High-Speed Home Internet with Canopy
In addition to our educational initiatives, DigitalC offers families the opportunity to subscribe to Canopy, Powered by DigitalC. This high-speed home internet service is available for only $18 per month. However, through a partnership with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, families with a scholar attending a school in the district are eligible for this service at no cost. This ensures that more students can access online learning resources and educational opportunities from home.
