DigitalC is proud to announce the launch of Canopy, Powered by Connect313 in Forest Park, Diggs, and Brewster apartment communities. This initiative brings ultra-fast home internet (500 Mbps download / 100 Mbps upload) to over 400 households, completely free to residents for the next three years.

  Residents of Forest Park, Brewster, and Diggs apartments managed by the Detroit Housing Commission are automatically eligible. Installations begin July 2025, with brief in-unit visits and a dedicated support team to assist with setup.

Canopy, Powered by Connect313 is a digital equity initiative funded by the Rocket Community Fund, in partnership with the Detroit Housing Commission, City of Detroit, DigitalC, Microsoft, Merit Network, and Wayne State University. The project uses state-of-the-art, next-generation wireless technology to deliver enterprise-grade home internet—ensuring every resident can stream, work, study, and access telehealth without interruption or cost.

How do residents subscribe to Canopy, Powered by Connect313 home internet?

No action is needed to apply. Canopy, Powered by Connect313, is being installed building-wide at Forest Park, Brewster, and Diggs Apartments. Once your unit is ready, an installer will leave a Welcome Folder with your Wi-Fi name and password.
